How To Install Hammock Posts

Materials needed

• pea gravel
• quikrete
• 4″ x 4″ x 8′ Post
• 3″PVC pipe
• 3″ end caps for pipes

Steps

Dig the Holes

Dig the holes 3 feet deep. We used a post hole digger for our which made it easier.

Cut the Pipes

We then cut the 3″ diameter PVC pipe into 3′ long sections.

Prepare the Holes

• Fill the holes with about 3 inches of pea gravel.
• Drill drain holes into end cap before attaching to pipe
• Put a cap on the end of the 3′ long section of PVC pipe
• Put the pipe section with the cap on the end into the hole.
• Fill the hole with Quickrete and add water.
• Let the Quickrete stand for 4 hours

Set the Posts

Now that the pipes are set firmly in the ground, insert the posts into the pipe.
