I love making my own Halloween costumes. This year I decided to be a Woodland Fawn. It’s so cute, I couldn’t wait to share!
These are the supplies you will need:
A pair of pre-made deer antlers
3 colors of tulle – about 1 yard each
white & tan felt – about 1 square foot each
a long sleeved brown shirt
brown leggings
thin brown belt
fake flowers – garage sale
hot glue gun, needle, thread, twine, scissors
Cut the three different colors of tulle into 3″ wide and 2′ long strips. I cut about 30 strips total of brown, tan and cream tulle.

Next tie each strip of tulle onto a thin brown belt, alternating each color.

It will look like this when you are done.

Next, get felt, scissors, a pen, and a circle pattern.

Take your circle object and place it in the corner of the felt. Now, trace it with your pen and cut out white felt circles. I cut out about 8.

Now, for the finishing touch for the skirt, using a small stitch, attach your circles to the tulle.

It will look like this when you are done.

Next, we will make the antlers. I bought a pre-made deer antlers, then I jazzed them up for my “woodland deer” look. I got fake flowers from a garage sale and cut them into pieces. I arranged the flowers in between the antlers. When you like the way it looks, use your twine or hot glue gun to piece the flowers together. You can also use your extra flowers to make accessories.
You can also make extra accessories out of your greenery.
Now let’s make the top. This is the brown T-Shirt that we used.

Here are the supplies to make the tummy cut-out to glue or sew on the brown top. Cut a large tan felt circle that will cover the belly of your shirt. Sew of glue this circle to the belly of your shirt.

Now add a pair of brown leggings and you are good to go!!
